What you will need:

– 1 3-ounce bag of any type of microwave popcorn

– 1 7-ounce jar of marshmallow cream

– Small red and green candy sprinkles

First, preheat your oven to 325 degrees F.

We have a cookie sheet, spray cooking spray to coat. Next, heat the popcorn in the microwave according to the directions on the bag. Next, pour the marshmallow cream from the jar into a microwave safe container.

Microwave marshmallow cream on high for 1 minute; be sure to do it uncovered. Next, pause the microwave, stir the cream, and continue to microwave for another minute or until melted.

Take the popcorn and gently in the marshmallow cream. Be careful not to let pimples fall out without popping. Gently stir the popcorn until just mixed and coated.

Next, spread the popcorn on a cookie sheet. Once you have a fairly even layer, sprinkle the popcorn with the red and green caramels. All you need to do now is bake it for about 10 minutes, stirring just a little after 5 minutes or until the layer of the popcorn mixture is dry.

Cool completely on a baking sheet set on a wire rack. At this point, everything will be a coated popcorn batter. Once cool, you can coarsely chop and serve. Delicious!

This recipe serves 8 servings / cups.

For a variation, break up the candy canes and use them in place of the red and green candies.

Happy Holidays!
