Where can I buy Medifast locally? I’ll tell you

The other day, I received an email from someone who had searched phone lists and the internet for a Medifast clinic or store near their town so they could purchase some of the products. She wrote in part: “Maybe I’m not looking in the right places, but I just can’t find a Medifast provider or outlet near me.” Her experience is not that rare. I have received many similar emails from others. In the next article, I’ll explain why (unless you live in one of the few states that have these clinics), you’re better off ordering groceries directly from the company.

People in the following states can buy Medifast locally: As I mentioned before, there are only a handful of states (that I can find) within the United States that have Medifast clinics. They are: Maryland; California; Texas; Florida; Arizona; Georgia; and South Carolina. Some of these states have quite a few centers (like Texas and California) and some have only a few (like Florida).

Cities With Clinics Or Centers: For example, the Texas metropolitan area has centers in Addison, Arlington, Allen, Bedford, Ft. Worth, Garland, Highland Village, Irving, North Richland Hills, and Plano. The Houston area also has many stores. Some examples are Atascocita, Cinco Ranch, Spring, Sugarland, Pearland, Webster, and The Woodlands. In the Austin area, there are clinics in Cedar Park, Round Rock, and Sunset Valley.

California has centers in San Ramon, Carmel Mountain Ranch, El Cajon, Encinitas, and San Marcus. Arizona is probably the next highest state in terms of central presence with three. They are located in Phoenix, Gilbert and Glendale.

Maryland (Bel Air, Pikesville), Florida (Orlando and Altamone Springs), South Carolina (Greenville, Easley), and Georgia (Warner Robins, Albany) each have two clinics, as I understand it.

Order Medifast online: If you are like many people who do not have a local center, it is very easy to order products online. The company website is very easy to use. Each type of food is separated individually with a list of options, prices, flavors, and nutritional information. The company sells the products individually or as part of a monthly package. Going with the package is much cheaper in the long run because the costs per meal are greatly reduced. And it’s tedious to figure out how many individual food packets you’d need if you were on the diet full-time (they want you to eat five of the company’s meals per day for best results).

In exchange for buying a monthly package, they will often offer you some very generous coupons, specials or incentives, like a few weeks of free food. Plus, they often offer free shipping and it only takes a few days to receive your order, so there’s no point in wasting a lot of gas and potentially much of your weekend and spare time driving to one of the few and far between hubs.
