I have found that these types of brushes and combs work best to get through all the hair with the least amount of effort and help remove the most hair to reduce shedding.

There are two types of brushes that I would recommend using if your dog is shedding a lot. The first type of brush is made of wired pins and helps remove tangles and dirt from their coats. The second type of brush that I would recommend is stainless steel combs. This comb helps remove excess hair and dirt that is more embedded in their coat than brushes often miss.
