Over-regulation in building codes and certification due to climate change alarmists is stifling growth

Well, people with profitable properties are dealing with supply and demand, as supply is stable due to ROI challenges for building new apartments, and demand is increasing, prices will not go down. What many do not understand is that all this Agenda 21 or now called Agenda 2030 infiltrating its recommendations to the levels of cities throughout the country, this advice appears in building codes and regulations. There does not appear to be a slowdown in these regulations at the local level, even if the Trump Administration complies with the reduction in federal regulation.

Even at the federal level, there are many insiders who want to stand firm on the regulations, actually believe that they are helping to save the planet. Consider whether you accept this fact: The Government Accounting Office released a report on January 3, 2017 titled; “Improved Federal Coordination Could Facilitate the Use of Forward Climate Information in Design Standards, Building Codes, and Certifications,” published November 30, 2016 and published January 3, 2017 (GAO-17-3).

This GAO report cited above assumes that we are occurring extreme climate change right now, and assumes that humanity’s CO2 emissions are causing it, none of which is proven. This is yet another indication that climate alarmists have infiltrated all parts of the US government bureaucracy and want to institute UN Agenda 21-style ‘sustainability’ in all future buildings. .

Our unions want to control that by being the only training venue for these new standards, specifically LEED Certification. In many areas, you can only earn LEED certification by attending a Union sponsored workshop or merchant course. You could go to college, but that would take a long time, and if you’re a merchant, you’d need all the lower division credits first, which is difficult for someone who started a trade right after high school. Of course, if you go to a union shop for training, you will either be recruited by the union, you are already paying union dues, or you will have to pay a fee to attend, thus supporting a union. Unions generally support leftist political candidates and lobby for themselves and finance leftist and socialist politicians.

If only union merchants can work construction in the future, this will increase the cost of new houses and buildings and hurt Americans with financial burdens. It damages home ownership and drives up business costs. It’s killing America, and here the GAO is helping to slow growth. What we need is change, but that change has to come from within and at all levels of government, a new philosophy is needed, and it is needed now.
