Mostly people go for expensive software to optimize their machine which most of the time creates more problems. I will tell you some of the basic tips to make your windows work smoothly without getting more complicated.
1) First of all, you don’t need to download any expensive software like “System Mechanic”, “Avg Tuneup”, etc. to optimize your windows as most of the time they create more problems instead of doing what they should. So, try to avoid this software and go for the free alternatives.
2) Use “Windows Disk Cleanup”. It is a simple and effective system cleaning tool and it does a good job of doing what its name implies. Microsoft Windows engineers are smart enough to make their “Windows Disk Cleaner” effective for their users. There are a variety of options to choose from to clean up the PC as needed.
3) Use “Windows Disk Defragmenter”. It looks very simple but believe me, it will replace all your other defrag programs. It also has an option to schedule the defragmentation time.
4) If you prefer system cleaning software, “CCleaner” may be a good choice for you. It is a wonderful cleaning software and also includes a registry cleaner. Just use the free version and it will suffice for your entire system. The great feature of “CCleaner” is that it has the option to let you know your startup programs in detail. You can disable useless browser extensions or disable scheduled tasks that take up precious system memory.
5) You can also use “Defragmenter” to defragment the system. It is another great software from the same company as CCleaner “Piriform”. The best thing about this software is that it can make your system fragment almost zero. You can also confirm this by defragmenting from this software and then checking from “Windows Disk Defragmenter”. Just click “Analyze” to check. In addition to defragmenting effectively, it can also defragment locked system files. To use this, open Defraggler and click on settings. From there select the option “Boot Time Defrag” and there you can select the time to perform.
Note: These tips are very basic, but they are effective. I personally follow these tips and my system runs smoothly. Also, this expensive cleanup software creates more problems. You may find that this type of software has a very good rating on review websites like “Top Ten Reviews” etc., but you see free software on their website. So what this implies is that these types of review websites charge a lot of money to the expensive companies that make software and in turn rank them at the top.
