College Football Week 8 Recap

I got back on track earlier this week when NC State covered against FSU, making me 1-0 going into the weekend. I was hoping for a 7 or 8 win week as I’ve been 6-4 the last two weekends, nothing to complain about though!

The early starts were fun to watch as there is nothing better than seeing Clemson give their fans hope and then just screw it all up in the end for Paul Johnson and Georgia Tech. Once again, Georgia did enough to win and didn’t cover , but I was 2-1 going into games at 3:30.

The afternoon games is where I picked it up in a big way! Javon Ringer shut down as Ohio State defeated Michigan State, UVa beat UNC in Charlottesville 290832 times in a row and USC absolutely crushed Washington State. Three wins in a row makes me 5-1. Could this be an 8 or 9 win weekend?

Michigan got up early and was sure they would cover. Sadly, the Wolverines ended up giving up 39 straight points and a late 80-yard touchdown for no cover. 5-2 going into night games wasn’t bad, I knew I couldn’t finish under .500

Texas came out and hit Missouri in the mouth as expected, making it 6-2 for me! Virginia Tech put up a valiant effort at Chestnut Hill but ended up losing by five and uncovered. LSU helped me down the stretch and gave me a 7-3 weekend!

Overall now I’m 48-30-2 (61.5%). Let’s see if my streak continues next week. It’s definitely been a fun year!
