I was busy reading one of my friend, Oluwafisayo Akinlolu’s articles in one of the Success Digest Extra issues! Recently and one of the statements that had a great impact on my life, I decided that I am going to highlight it and share it with you.
The statement was short, straight to the point and could mean a million naira to anyone who thought as I did.
This is the statement: “Why not produce it?” I know that many of you will begin to think: what is so special about such a statement?
If this statement doesn’t seem to have any meaning to you, don’t worry, just come with me.
Do you remember that I have always reminded you of Dr. Robert H. Schuyler’s wonderful statement that the greatest secret of success is to find a need and fill it?
Now if you ever dream of making a million naira and calling it your own, you should give this statement by Akinlolu and Dr. Robert Schuyler some serious thought.
Now, to explain further, as you read this story, do you know that there are still quite a number of needs in your life that still need to be met? And if you see someone who offers you a solution to that problem, will you be willing to pay any amount for their services or product?
Also, do you know that there are at least a million people here in Nigeria alone who have the same need?
Now, your chance at the juncture is: Why not produce that thing and sell it to that million people and make their money?
Otherwise, ask three of your friends what their biggest needs are and you’ll find that all three have different needs.
Now why not offer to fill just one of those needs and find the remaining nine hundred and ninety thousand people and market the product or service to them?
For example, one of those friends has the problem of finding a trusted partner, why not see that as an opportunity and build a website that solves this problem or write a book on that topic and start marketing it?
And if you have no idea to write in that area, then find a person in that area and let them write for you while you pay them. Then go ahead to market it.
My dear friend, there is always a way around every problem or challenge.
I want you to sit down and think deeply about this topic, it’s worth it.
And if you’re confused by what I just told you, pay a visit to any truly successful person you know and tell him that a foolish man just told you everything I’m telling you now, and listen to what he has to tell you.
Henry Ford discovered people’s need for automobiles and produced them. Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyawu discovered the people’s need for news and produced it daily.
Chief Erastus Akingbola discovered the people’s need for finance and banking, created the Intercontinental Bank. Dr. Sunny Obazu-Ojeagbase discovered people’s need for success information and produced it.
Now what do you think people are looking for? Get out there and produce it.
