Baby shower games are a must at any baby shower! Below are two different ways to play one of the most popular games: Dirty Diaper Game.
The Dirty Diaper Game is a great way to make your guests laugh out loud at your expectant mother’s baby shower. Don’t worry, it’s not as bad as it sounds!
Supplies:
4-6 clean diapers
4-6 different candy bars
Pen / paper for each guest (optional)
Instructions are below:
1.) Before your guests arrive, open all the diapers and place them on a flat surface.
2.) Place a small piece of a candy bar in each diaper (make sure each diaper has a different candy bar inside).
3.) Microwave each diaper for about 10-20 seconds. After the diaper candy bars have melted, close each diaper a little to crush the candy bars. (Make sure the diapers are not completely closed, because when the chocolate starts to harden, the diapers will stay closed.)
4.) Place each diaper, slightly open, on a table.
5.) When your guests arrive, have them examine the “dirty diapers.” Each guest guesses what kind of candy bar is in each diaper. You can have them write their answers or play aloud.
6.) The winner is whoever guessed the most correct chocolate bars.
Here’s another variation on the dirty diaper game. It is a little easier to prepare, but it certainly has the same reaction as the first one! Your guests will not expect this surprise in the shower!
Supplies:
Enough unused baby diapers for each guest
Jar of baby food or candy bar
A basket or container to store all diapers
Prize for the winner
1.) Prepare for the game before your guests arrive by making a diaper the “surprise” diaper. Do this by creating a mess inside with chocolate or baby food (if using chocolate, use the microwave to melt the chocolate. The same rules apply as in the first Dirty Diaper Set). It should look really nasty. The more realistic the surprise looks, the better the reaction.
2.) Put the diapers in a basket and have the baby shower guests choose their diaper. Don’t tell them why they are choosing a diaper. After everyone has chosen, tell everyone to open the diaper at the same time. One look at the faces of your guests and you will know who the winner is right away. The guest with the messy diaper is the winner and takes a prize!
The prizes can and should be whatever you want. Of course, candles are a common prize, but it can be anything you want. Tip: A great prize for this baby shower game is the candy bar that was placed in the diaper (if you used a candy bar). You are the hostess, so make it yours! A great place to buy prizes is a dollar or discount store, because you can get a wide variety of prizes at low prices.
These are great games to play at baby showers, because everyone will laugh at the bullshit that is going on. The laughter you are sure to get from your guests will make the expectant mother remember her baby shower, and her hostess skills are sure to be envied.
