Tired of the rat race – party yacht charter is a dream come true

While driving or rather parking on the highway waiting for the cars ahead to move, all he could think of was being back in the water watching the sun set. You see, I was recently invited to a corporate party on a party yacht charter. This was not just any ship. It had all the comforts and there were about 150 guests, including my happy self.

“Oh great,” I thought to myself when I noticed there was some movement ahead and the line of cars was receding, I could finally move a few hundred yards on my 30-mile drive home. About an hour and a half and a quarter from a tank of gas in realistic terms. At that time, wouldn’t you know? The guy in front of me was texting and he didn’t budge. Four cars from the other two lanes merged in front of him before he moved, he was having a flashback to that old Breaking Down movie where the guy in the wheelchair moves faster than the traffic on the freeway (parking lot).

The only thing that helped me stick together was my fond memories of my travels on that wonderful party yacht charter. Suddenly, I didn’t care that the lady in the Mercedes was less than a foot from my bumper, or that the guy in the truck tried to intimidate me into backing up so he could get into my lane before me. I also didn’t give a damn that I had just been hand-pointed out that I was number one for a motorcycle splitting lanes at 45 mph. No, all I could think of was planning a getaway with my closest family and friends and on a party boat on a yacht, sailing towards Sunset.

I remembered a conversation I had with the captain of the yacht charter party that I followed, he explained that each party was unique and personalized, all planned in advance for satisfaction. As a guest, I was more than satisfied. I will never forget. And I want to go back to the open sea again, and the sooner the better. But enough daydreaming for a day. I saw my departure approaching later, almost home.

It was time to relax and start planning my own yacht party. Who would you invite? What date would you set? What kind of events would you like? Dinner, dance, whale watching, sunset chase. I suppose I have a lot to think about before setting out on the early morning journey the next day.
