By doing so, and having HR representatives, companies have learned the importance of strong communication with their workforce.

The fact is, Human Resource Management exists for this purpose only: bridging the gap between staff and top management. In doing so, compromises have been achieved that preclude the need for unions or external arbitration and thus provide the services that employees believe they are entitled to have.

A company that is not so progressive, on the other hand, neglects HR and the philosophy that accompanies it. The result is that employees abandon any thoughts of loyalty to their employer in favor of companies that reward their service more broadly. Examples of this start at the most basic level of appreciation. Certificates of Recognition awarded monthly, semi-annually, or even annually, for example, are all that many employees want.

This has been updated through programs like after-work bowling and softball leagues, on-site daycare, free exercise memberships, and even after-hours bars and socials with office staff and the boss. . At work, HR folks have implemented office parties where there were none before, office groups, after-hours bingo (for charity or just for fun), and other similar activities that create cohesion within of the workforce that makes it extremely difficult for an employee to consider leaving. It is just this feeling that managers and owners are looking for and why HR is so important.
