Step 1. Login to Facebook.com/business, this will take you to “Create a page” which you see at the top. You will be greeted with various business type options, including local business or venue, brand or product, and cause or community. Add your company logo or personal photo to your Facebook cover. If you are branding yourself, like me, then a personal photo of your choice will suffice. However, once you click “upload photo”, it will ask if you want to set up your company page for booking appointments. It will look like the next page. If you click “not now”, you continue to upload your image. (The example photo is the following photo)

Step 4. Click “upload photo”, there you should see the image you uploaded. Next, Facebook will instruct you to optimize your page.

In the small box, Facebook requests that you send a request to your friends to like your page. You can also click the See All button and all the likes of your personal Facebook page will be filled.

Inviting your personal likes to your company page will give you a boost in promoting your page. Plus, it’s the gateway to Facebook’s custom URL vault. This hidden advantage becomes accessible when it reaches 25 likes on the business page.

Step # 5. Click Settings, then General, then Publish this page … Finish! That is all. You created your Facebook page for your small business, an important step towards building your brand and therefore growing your business!
