10 scrapbook ideas for Valentine’s Day with or without photos

Valentine’s Day is all about romance, love, and friendship. It may not be a common photo opportunity, but with or without a photo, there are still plenty of scrapbook ideas for Valentine’s Day. Remember this February 14 and that special someone you asked to be yours with these tips for the Valentine’s Day scrapbook page.

1. Find a photo: Just because you don’t have a photo taken on February 14th doesn’t mean you can’t include photos in your Valentine’s Day design. Find a photo of yourself and your girlfriend from another occasion to fix that problem. You can go back all you want to get a photo of the two of you together, maybe even a wedding photo.

2. Choose a page title – Need help creating a Valentine’s Day themed title? Here are some suggestions:

  • As I love you?
  • I love you
  • I want to kiss you all
  • Crazy Little Thing Called Love
  • My heart Belongs to you
  • This Kiss
  • Always and Forever
  • High school sweethearts
  • Soulmates
  • Be mine

3. Choose romantic page elements: The obvious choices for your page elements are hearts and roses, but look in your other scrapbooking supplies for ornaments that make you think of romance. For example, wear white lace, a pink satin ribbon, red bows, or Victorian accents.

4. Add color: Red is the color of the day for Valentine’s Day, but too much red on your page can overpower your focal point. Use red as an accent and try adding more white and pink to your design.

5. Add your Valentine Cards – Cards are page decorations. You can create a pocket on the page to add the cards that were handed out. In this way, they can be removed so that you can read the feelings inside.

6. Write Love Letters: Journaling is as important to Valentine’s Day design as it is to any other scrapbook page. Use the page title ideas listed above to generate ideas for journaling. You can also include handwritten love letters at any time of the year or in the past.

7. Add a love poem: If you want a quick way to add a journal, use a love poem or quote on your page. It is easy to find many options for poems and quotes when you search for “romantic poems” on the Internet.

8. Photograph Valentine’s Day gifts: Include a photo of the box of chocolates or roses you received and make a scrapbook of the gift card. If you had a good dinner, put a picture of the restaurant on your page and don’t forget to write in a journal what each of you asked for for dinner.

9. Remind the children: Children celebrate Valentine’s Day too. Include cards exchanged by schoolmates on a special page for your children. Write down your feelings about this holiday and what it means to them.

10. Dedicate a page to your Valentine: Instead of focusing on the couple, use a page layout to express all the reasons why you love him.

With a little creativity, you can create a beautiful page layout for Valentine’s Day even if you don’t have a photo of that day. You don’t even need special supplies. You probably already have ornaments with a romantic theme. Add some white and pink cardstock and some red lettering, and you’ve got everything you need to make a scrapbook page for Valentine’s Day.
